For those of you praying along with me for miracles these forty days, please read aloud this Psalm with my name and ask God to reveal new feeling and function in my body.
Psalm 143 (NIV)
A psalm of David.
1 Lord, hear Laura’s prayer,
listen to her cries for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to her relief.
2 Do not bring your servant into judgment,
for no one living is righteous before you.
3 The enemy pursues Laura,
he crushes her to the ground; he makes her dwell in the darkness like those long dead.
4 So Laura’s spirit grows faint within her;
Laura’s heart within her is dismayed.
5 Laura remembers the days of long ago;
Laura meditates on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
6 Laura spreads out her hands to you;
Laura thirsts for you like a parched land.
7 Answer Laura quickly, Lord;
Laura’s spirit fails. Do not hide your face from Laura or she will be like those who go down to the pit.
8 Let the morning bring Laura words of your unfailing love,
for she has put her trust in you. Show Laura the way she should go, for to you Laura entrust her life.
9 Rescue Laura from her enemies, Lord, for she hides herself in you.
10 Teach Laura to do your will, for you are her God; may your good Spirit lead Laura on level ground.
11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve Laura’s life;
in your righteousness, bring Laura out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence Laura’s enemies;
destroy all her foes, for she is your servant.
