Time is a construct, so when am I writing or posting this anyways? The email will hit inboxes on my Sunday which will be America’s Saturday though I’m scheduling it to post on my traumaversary in New Zealand time… which is still Friday in America. My head is done in with those circles of reasoning, and to be honest, it’s not been in a great space thinking about this post.
Monday I had a meeting with the spinal specialists for the first time all together here in New Zealand, and I loved the team. They were super kind and incredibly knowledgeable. And they told me I needed elective surgery to lengthen my calves because the damage to my tendons was irreparable. They recommended a course of botox in my ankles as a diagnostic funded treatment to hope that the lack of results will aid in the case to get the surgery funded later in the year.
It’s a lot to take in. I still don’t know how I feel about it. So I’m just going to put this one in the Lord’s hands knowing there is a whole lot I don’t understand about what has led my body to this point and that I need a miraculous intervention still.
Photos of the tattoo to come next week, but for now, I’ll be living my best life in the crazy tight calf condition I never expected while still hoping for more and inking an image of hope in the power of prayer onto my arm.

Love you, Laura. I’m glad you are, as you always have been, in the hands of a great medical team. Still, I am praying and believing with you, friend, for heavenly intervention and supernatural healing. Sending hugs!! Oh, and the tattoo rocks!
Laura, in this season I continue to trust in the big & powerful love of God to transform, not only your body, but your heart and your hope. Speaking the truth of Zephaniah 3:17 over you today- I bless you, in Jesus’ name, with a fresh & powerful knowing of God’s near presence, as the Mighty Warrior who fights on your behalf! May you feel, in every ounce of your being, His delight in you and know the quiet heart that His love brings. As He rejoices over you with singing, would you hear the voice of your Savior serenading you with truth, peace & encouragement. -Amen & Amen
