For those of you praying along with me for miracles these forty days, please read aloud this Psalm with my name and ask God to reveal new feeling and function in my body.
Psalm 30 (NIV)
A psalm. A song. For the dedication of the temple. Of David.
1 Laura will exalt you, Lord,
for you lifted her out of the depths and did not let her enemies gloat over her.
2 Lord Laura’s God, she called to you for help,
and you healed her.
3 You, Lord, brought Laura up from the realm of the dead;
you spared her from going down to the pit.
4 Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people;
praise his holy name.
5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
6 When Laura felt secure, she said,
“Laura will never be shaken.”
7 Lord, when you favored Laura,
you made her royal mountain stand firm; but when you hid your face, she was dismayed.
8 To you, Lord, Laura calls;
to the Lord she cried for mercy:
9 “What is gained if Laura is silenced,
if she goes down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness?
10 Hear, Lord, and be merciful to Laura; Lord, be Laura’s help.”
11 You turned Laura’s wailing into dancing;
you removed her sackcloth and clothed her with joy,
12 that Laura’s heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord Laura’s God, she will praise you forever.
