Playlist 2025

Let’s GOOOOOOO! Last year’s has all the links: Playlist 2024. Here’s the Spotify list and the YouTube playlist for your listening enjoyment.

1. Stories (Down to the Bottom) by Superchick feat. TobyMac
This double title lends a lot of weight to the start of the playlist this year. What a year. But also, I’m on a journey up from the bottom. And I’m doing my best to tell my story responsibly. Writing a book and speaking at Easter Camp are just a couple of the ways I’m doing that this year.

2. Seek You by Satellite
This song has been on repeat most of the year, and while it’s an older Satellite one, it’s been an anchor as I keep my eyes on Jesus when things don’t make sense and I don’t yet have my miraculous healing.

3. My Everything by Owl City
I’ve always loved this song, and I put it on this year’s playlist because of the emphasis on keeping Jesus central. Jesus is always central in my life, and I hope that’s been evident, but I also recognise that he doesn’t stay there on accident.

4. Head Above Water by Avril Lavigne
Man, I did a lot this year.

5. Goodness of God by CeCe Winans/Bethel Music
I love singing this in church and having the voices of the body of Christ surround me when the lyrics are hard to believe. But I choose to believe, and I still sing.

6. Awake My Soul by Mumford & Sons
There’s a lot stirring in the midst of the crazy this year.

7. On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons
I spoke in front of 3,500 young people this year. I literally can’t even.

8. Alien Youth by Skillet
I have so much hope for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. These youth are changing the world for the better. Fight me.

9. Little Life by Cordelia
In the midst of the chaos, I swear. I’m on TikTok too much, but also, I think I love this little life.

10. Wobble by Family Force 5
I’m getting better, but it’s a wobble when I walk.

11. Don’t Stop Praying by Matthew West
For realsies. Let’s buckle up and invite God into what’s next. More accurately, let’s respond to what God’s inviting us into. Are you with me?

12. The Heart of a Graveyard by Demon Hunter
I had such a hard time finding the right Demon Hunter song for this year. I settled on this one for some offline personal reasons, but it resonates with a lot of conversations I’ve had with friends and loved ones. Plus the melody is hauntingly beautiful. I still think Ryan Clark’s voice is the most beautiful thing in the world.

13. Believer by American Authors
I can’t un-know some stuff, my dudes. But actually listen to the lyrics on this one. It’s a catchy tune, but there’s a lot going on.

Bonus Track: RÓA by VÆB
Iceland was ROBBED, I tell you!
But also: I’m alone on a boat looking for a better place/I haven’t lost everything yet… Rowing here/rowing there/There’s nothing that can stop me.
