A Lot and a Little

I got to have a bit of a break this week, but I also still had a lot on. I love my life. I did this to myself. I said yes to following Jesus and I was invited to lead a youth group and to speak at a massive camp and to have an incredible opportunity to be a part of kingdom work.

With the help of an amazing young adult in my life group, I also now have an entirely inventoried Easter Camp gear wall in the youth shed. What a legend. That was a lot.

Then I spent a bulk of my week binging Ted Lasso because I can never get enough of that wholesome leadership content. I aspire to be a selfless leader who acknowledges my cultural unawareness and is a constant learner, humble, and capable of inspiring growth in others, always believing the best in them. I want to be more like Jesus as a leader, but Ted Lasso is a good fictional inspiration as well.

That said, in all the things I did accomplish and am about to go do (I get to read the book of Colossians in our 6pm service, and I’m genuinely pumped about it), I’ve got no more words for the internet. Well, I have a few, just this little bit.

Instead, I’ll share some hope I recorded on the internet a while back because why not since I actually do a lot in my life. I recorded a new episode with Ryan last night which is why I have so little time for today’s update, but that episode not going to be up until the end of May, so if you’re interested in my thoughts on hope through the lens of a famous movie:
