For those of you praying along with me for miracles these forty days, please read aloud this Psalm with my name and ask God to reveal new feeling and function in my body.
Psalm 6 (NIV)
Lord, do not rebuke Laura in your anger or discipline her in your wrath.
Have mercy on Laura, Lord, for she is faint; heal Laura, Lord, for her bones are in agony.
Laura’s soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long?
Turn, Lord, and deliver Laura; save her because of your unfailing love.
Among the dead no one proclaims your name. Who praises you from the grave?
Laura is worn out from her groaning. All night long she floods her bed with weeping and drenches her couch with tears.
Laura’s eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all her foes.
Away from Laura, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard her weeping.
The Lord has heard Laura cry for mercy; the Lord accepts Laura’s prayer.
All Laura’s enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.
