I’m really loved.
I have this fancy website that’s run by a former student who charges me a discount rate for hosting because I’m loved. I also do my best to post regular updates, but sometimes I go on camp and then miss a week after because life is full, but no one is mad at me because I’m so loved.
I don’t take that lightly. I know there are people around the world who are lonely and struggle to find connection and community, but I am deeply loved, and I saw that in some beautiful and tangible ways over Easter camp and the past two weeks.
Because I’m so deeply loved, I also don’t feel obligated to have a hyped up post detailing everything when I’m still processing through things and facing a mountain of unread emails in my inbox after taking the necessary recovery days off post camp.
Obviously, I have some super cool highlights to run through that are so worth making a fuss about:
Our campsite included hosting
64 RYC campers
20 leaders
7 camp kids
5 camp parents
3 visitors
Over the course of camp we celebrated
6 first time decisions to follow Jesus
4 youth wanting to get baptised
2 young people asking if they could serve in the holiday programme the week following camp
1 young person asking for ways to step up in his faith having already been baptised
Not everything was perfect, and there are a few hard follow ups post camp, but overall it was a win, and I’m grateful even for the hard situations as opportunities to provide support for people who are struggling through some really difficult things.
This camp is beautiful, and I love being able to participate in it. I’ve seen God do incredible things in the lives of youth and leaders who come along, and I love that I get to keep building on the experiences as young people go deeper and ask questions about what Christians believe.
We’re starting up term two this coming week, and I’ve just planned out with my leaders how we’re going to lean in to understanding beliefs through youth Alpha. I’m so excited for the creativity my team has in engaging with the material for the sake of young people knowing Jesus better.
Easter is a highlight of the year in so many ways, but it’s also a launching point for learning and growing. I am so excited to see what’s next.
Aslan is on the move.

Like the astronauts with Artemis 11 you have much to process following Easter Camp. Praise the Lord.
you are greatly blessed
we love you
You are definitely loved by this family!! It is so wonderful to witness the ways God uses you to reach young people in meaningful ways. Lives are enriched, Jesus is lifted up, and God is glorified!
